    EKX X21 Motor Failure: Gear Failure or Complete Motor Failure?

    One of the most important questions is:

    Do I need a complete EKX X21 motor replacement, or just a motor gear?

    If the motor still spins but does not properly transfer torque to the wheel, the planetary gears or clutch should be inspected before replacing the complete motor.
